At BBS International School of Bavaro, our High School Academy offers a comprehensive and advanced education for students aged 12 to 18, preparing them to succeed in university and their future careers with a critical and ethical mindset. The curriculum is rigorously aligned with internationally recognized standards, including the Common Core Standards for Language Arts and Mathematics, the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for Science, and the C3 Framework for Social Studies.

Additionally, we offer courses in Lengua Española, Ciencias Sociales, and Information Technology, all taught in Spanish and fully compliant with the Dominican Ministry of Education (MINERD) requirements. French is also offered as a foreign language.
Students at this stage are encouraged to develop advanced skills in critical thinking, complex problem-solving, and responsible use of technology to enhance creativity and learning. The high school environment at BBS balances high academic standards with a holistic approach, supporting students’ intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.
Our students are active contributors to the school community, demonstrating autonomy, leadership, and responsibility.
The academic program is standards-based, with core subjects taught in English and adherence to both U.S. and Dominican educational requirements. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the fact that 100% of our graduates who have applied to universities abroad have been accepted.

To foster continuous growth and challenge, BBS offers a diverse range of elective courses such as Model United Nations, Debate Club, Literature, Entrepreneurship, and Advanced Drawing. These opportunities help students develop not only academically but also socially and emotionally.
The profile of a BBS High School student is one of excellence, commitment, and readiness to make a positive impact in the world, grounded in the institution’s core values of integrity and empathy both inside and outside the classroom.
